How Mesopotamians became Powerful

The most important achievement of the Mesopotamians is the levees, tools, irrigation system, writing art, technology, and laws. Levees are an important achievement because they block floods. Tools are important achievements because they built levees, irrigation system, writing, art, technology, and laws. Irrigation system are a important achievement because they create levees which water could stay in the right place for the Mesopotamian and people can drink the water and to water the crops. So then the crops can be used for food for the Mesopotamians people, and the animals can drink the water. The Mesopotamians created a language called cuneiform. Cuneiform was used for they can communicate with each other, and for Mesopotamian people can read it. Art is an important achievement because for they can express their feelings, and to show their talents, and to show their piece of art, and to show their hard work. Technology is a important achievement because it releases energy. Energy makes light. Light was for seeing in the dark at night time. Laws are also a important achievement because kings make them. Laws are also used for people can’t fight over something, and for it can be easier.

The Mesopotamian invention that showed the most power was the agriculture. In my opinion, the agriculture was the most powerful because it created crops. The agriculture helped the Mesopotamian people because without agriculture there would be no food. Agriculture helped also people to survive. Crops were vegetables, fruit they made your bones stronger. They maintained their agriculture by building levees.

Adventure's of Gilgamesh

The story of Gilgamesh takes place in Uruk a busy city on the flat Mesopotamia. The story involves Gilgamesh, Humbaba, and Enkidu. In the beginning, Gilgamesh wanted to see the world and go to an adventure. Gilgamesh suggested they journey across the plain distance mountains so they could bring back some wood from the cedar forest. Then when Gilgamesh and Enkidu are walking through the forest they see they guessed that the sound was the demon Humbaba. Suddenly, the demon stood before Gilgamesh and Enkidu. In the end, in a booming voice Humbaba demanded to know why they had entered his forest. Humbaba got defeated by Gilgamesh and Enkidu.

The message of the story is Gilgamesh and Enkidu defeated Humbaba. I choose this because in the story it is mainly about their fighting with Humbaba. Also in the story Humbaba threatened to destroy the two friends Gilgamesh and Enkidu. Another reason is because in the story it says Humbaba threatened to destroy the two friends if they did not leave immediately.

I believe Gilgamesh is a hero because he defeated the demon. Also, he was brave to enter the forest with Enkidu. In addition, he says he was frightened but he and Enkidu decide to stay and fight. Finally, he went back to his village with the demon head and wood. In my opinion, Gilgamesh is a hero.
